All the best on your travels, you get a mention on Hubert's blog and a photo too.

Have been following both of you for a little while, wondered if/when you would cross paths.

Safe travels

Hey Nathan you're looking more like Che Geuvera every day!
You probably have it all sorted but just remember if you flip Dot on her head you have to drain her fuel as well. She is going to have juices flowing in parts of her engine where they shoudn't, so it would be best to stand her right way up overnight BEFORE you start her. (Maybe even cycle the engine over a couple of times with the spark plug removed first.) Once you do fire her up, be prepaired for a fair bit of smoke and the possibilty of fouling a spark plug before she clears her throat. I think syphoning the oil may be a better option. Try doing it when the engine oil is hot but don't burn your lips...

Upending her to drain the oil seems to make sense to my equally unmechanical mind but unless mortorcycle batteries have changed since I gave up riding too many years ago, it is water filled, like a car battery. Better to take it out before the flipping her over to make sure.
