Nathan
Full time dreamer and seldom achiever, I’m the pilot for this wild adventure from one side of the world to the other. I’m neither well-travelled or prepared in the slightest for anything that may come our way, but sometimes you just have to give these things a go and see if you survive at the other end.
Normally though I’m a simple chap, liking simple thing. Beans on toast, tea and custard creams for example. If it’s ever relevant then I like my tea with one big sugar and like the bag to be left a long time to stew. The foods I miss most are porridge and salmon sandwiches with salad cream. I’d also murder an English breakfast with HP sauce right now but out here you just can’t get the bacon.
It’s a wild and complex story as to why I’m attempting this adventure, but now once I’d come up with the idea of getting from Sydney to London without triggering my fear of flying it kinda feels like I have to give it a go if I’m to avoid the dreaded ‘what if.’
I’ve had some touching comments from friends and family; ‘you idiot’, said one. ‘You’ll die’, said another, but onwards and upwards my granddad Stan used to say, and that’s the advice I’ll be taking as we head all the way home… to England
